Metco Engineering Trailers, Canopies and Cages carry a 10-Year Structural Warranty for workmanship and materials, comprising Steel Work and Steel*, galvanised finishes and powder coating from the date of purchase. 

All Components & Consumables**, including lights, tyres, wheels, hubs, couplings, safety chains, jockey wheel, bearings, brakes, springs, spring hangers, U-bolts, decking materials, electrical sockets and cabling, gas struts, door handles, locks and rods, hinges, spring pins, drop locks etc. are warranted for 1-year against defects. This warranty is only applicable should it be proven that the goods are defective due to faulty manufacture, or failure under normal working conditions. Metco Engineering will replace or repair such defective goods, providing the defective goods are returned, freight paid to Metco Engineering’s factory.

Metco Engineering 2022 Limited shall have no liability, under this warranty, for any defect in goods arising from inappropriate or unsuitable use, neglect, lack of maintenance, modification, tampering, unauthorised persons making repairs or alterations, damage by accident, over-loading or uneven loading, off-road use, racing, acts of nature, terrorism, vandalism, environmental damage, or general wear and tear.

Metco Engineering 2022 Limited shall have no liability, under this warranty, for any damage caused by normal wear and tear to paint finishes or galvanising (including but not limited to dents, tears, scratches, paint chips, oxidisation or fading).

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to comply with all regulations and maintain and care for the goods to a reasonable standard. We offer guidelines for care and maintenance of our products to assist the purchaser in doing this.

Our warranty is not transferrable and is applicable only to the original purchaser from the date of purchase.

Please note: In all cases, warranty claims are honoured at the sole discretion of Metco Engineering 2002 Limited.

 

*Steel work and Steel are defined as the body parts of the trailers, canopies and cages manufactured by Metco Engineering (excluding ‘components & consumables’, as defined above) and the extrusions and sheet metal materials that comprise them. In the case of our trailers this includes the subframe, drawbars, side wall panels, front and rear gate panels and frames, tie down rails, rear light and license plate panel, wheel guards, steps, hinges, corner posts and tie down hooks. In the case of our canopies this includes all sheet metal panels and extrusions. In the case of our cages this includes all extrusions, hinges and mesh.

**Components and Consumables are parts contained within our trailers, canopies and cages that are not manufactured by Metco Engineering.
